Organoesis is an international, inter-scientific, interprofessional and intergenerational collective, formed in 2021 following the seminar on Bifurcate. There is no alternative (a book co-authored by philosopher Bernard Stiegler and a group of researchers from different disciplines and nationalities).

Organoesis aims to implement a networked, contributory research approach, linking fundamental research to practical problems on the field, in the territories, with the aim of developing, cultivating and transforming knowledge (work-knowledge, life-knowledge, theoretical knowledge) in technical milieu in the digital age.

In all areas (everyday life, education, health, urban planning, law, etc.), the new digital devices tend to provoke processes of automation that dispossess individuals of their knowledge and place them at the service of technical systems, as well as the commercial imperatives that most often command them. However, on the other hand, if they are reflected upon and transformed, these digital devices can lead to contributory practices that enable individuals to reclaim the future of their territories and their societies.

Therefore, it seems necessary to study the effects of new technologies on psychosomatic organisms and social organisations (on professions and lifestyles, on knowledge and the brain, on places and relations) and to combine this fundamental research with local contributory projects, which attempt to put digital media at the service of individuals and groups, through collective, capacitating and meaningful practices.

With this in mind, the collective is pursuing a two-pronged approach :

1. A theoretical organology, which aims to implement an inter-scientific and transdisciplinary reflection on the psychological, social, political and epistemic stakes of digital technologies, through research groups, seminars, conference, meetings and public debates ;

2. A practical organology, which aims to design and develop concrete proposals to put digital technologies at the service of inhabitants, territories and knowledge, and to test these proposals through local projects.

Organoesis aims to create sustainable trans-university, trans-professional, trans-institutional and trans-generational exchanges between researchers, professionals, practitioners, students, collectives, associations, academic institutions, economic players, political representatives, etc. who come together around theoretical and/or practical projects, in different territories and on different scales.

This website is an online resource platform that provides references to the various scientific works on which the collective draws inspiration, and publishes the projects and activities of the various members of the collective, so that they can be shared and new initiatives launched.
